Your Holiday Resource Guide

 In In the News

December is a month of holiday celebrations…and a month of craziness. Between making sure work gets done before you’re out of the office, confirming that everyone on your list has a gift, decorating, cooking, traveling, and hosting friends and family, it’s hard to find time to do it all. Our gift to you this holiday season is a list of holiday resources that can help you check off a few boxes on your to-do list – think easy appetizers and desserts, entertainment ideas, and even some last-minute gift options!

Holiday Games

20 Questions: Holiday Edition

Snowman Drawing Contest

Holiday Conversation Starters

Sometimes, all you need is the right question and you’ll get to hear a wonderful story (and get to know someone better). Ask questions and have each person around the table answer. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? If you could invite 5 people to a holiday party, who would it be and why? What is your favorite holiday memory? Or pick up a festive conversation game, like this one.

Snowball Throw

Pair up your guests and give each team the same amount of marshmallows. One team member is the thrower, one is the catcher. The thrower aims the marshmallow for the catcher’s mouth, and each time they make it is a point.

White Elephant

Tell your guests in advance if you’re playing this gift-exchange game. Everyone brings a wrapped gift, usually within a specific price range. Randomly determine which order participants will go in, and the first chooses their gift. As the game continues, each person has the choice to either unwrap a new present or to steal another’s.

Last-Minute Gifts

Whether it’s for a White Elephant gift exchange or someone you didn’t originally have on your shopping list, sometimes last-minute presents are a necessity. What’s easy to buy, and still thoughtful?

A bag of beans from your local coffee shop. This one is for any coffee lovers, getting coffee beans from a local shop invites them to taste what you love and drink, plus, helps support a neighborhood store.

Subscription Box

A subscription box. There’s an abundance of these to choose from, and subscriptions based on your budget, so pick according to your recipient’s interests and they’ll receive a gift from you every month! Choose from wine clubs, beauty boxes, food and snack subscriptions, even clothes – see a list of subscription boxes here.

Printable Art

Printable art. Have a printer nearby? Purchase printable gifts from sites like Etsy and quickly create a memorable gift (frame optional).

Local Stores or Fast Shipping

Buy from local stores or companies with fast shipping. Take some time to browse for more one-of-a-kind gifts you couldn’t find anywhere except a local shop, or buy gifts from companies who offer 2-day or same-day shipping!

Gift Cards

Choose the right gift card for the right person. Paired with a card that has a personal message in it, a gift card to a store the recipient loves can be the perfect last-minute gift.

Give Back

Tis the season for giving, and giving back. Watch the clip below to see how giving is better than receiving, then check out our blog post to see how you can do your part this month.

We hope you have a fun, safe, and happy holiday season!
